Dušan Ristić

Dušan Ristić
Dušan Ristić (Serbian Cyrillic: Душан Ристић, born November 27, 1995) is a Serbian basketball player, who currently plays college basketball as a junior for the Arizona Wildcats.

Dušan grew up with Crvena zvezda youth team. He made his professional debut with Zvezda second team Radnički FMP during the 2012–13 season.

His debut with first team of Crvena zvezda was during the 2013–14 ABA League season. He also played two games in Euroleague. However, he decided not to sign professional contract with club.

January 2014 he went to Sunrise Christian Academy in Wichita, Kansas.

On March 8, 2014, Ristić, committed to play basketball for the Arizona Wildcats. On twitter he announced that he will play his senior year for the Wildcats and finish his education.

An amateur photographer as well as philanthropist, especially to the Serbian Orthodox cultural heritage, from approximately 1979 to 1994, he was given often unprecedented access to Serbian Orthodox cultural monuments in the former Yugoslavia. In the course of several trips there, he amassed a collection of almost 5,000 slides, the majority of which he took himself. Often, he would share these slides with interested groups, particularly among the Serbian Orthodox communities in the United States.

Stamatis Skliris, a disciple of the great twentieth-century theologians Archimandrite Justin Popovich and Bishop Athanasius Yevtich. Fr. Stamatis is a parish priest in Athens and is renowned as an iconographer and as a writer and lecturer on Byzantine iconography.

In the Mirror is the second of a planned collection of works of contemporary theologians. It is an anthology of Fr. Stamatis’ articles which have appeared in Greek and Serbian. In it, he combines adherence to the teachings of the Church Fathers with a vibrant expression of faith through the experience of Christ in the Church. The book is adorned with more than 200 striking icons and illustrations by Fr. Stamatis.
