Fionn Zarubica

Fionn Zarubica, a native of Los Angeles, California, attended the University of California, Santa Barbara as well as the University of California, Los Angeles. On the theatrical side Fionn has worked for over twenty years as a costume designer, designing costumes for theater, film, ballet, opera and television in the United States, Canada and Europe. On the museum side, she has worked at the Autry National Center, on the Southwest Museum of the American Indian Preservation Project, and in January of 2006 joined the department of Costume and Textiles of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), where she was responsible for the management and care of the museum's renowned and comprehensive costume and textile collections, and oversaw ongoing rotations of the permanent collection throughout the museum.

She contributed her skills for several exhibitions at LACMA including California Design, 1930-1965: Living in a Modern Way (2011); Fashioning Fashion: European Dress in Detail, 1700-1915 (2010); From the Spoon to the City: Design by Architects from LACMA’s Collection (2009); Art of Two Germanys/Cold War Cultures (2009) and Breaking the Mode: Contemporary Fashion from the Permanent Collection (2006) as well as the critically acclaimed Los Angeles Goes Live: Performance Art in Southern California 1970-1983 (LACE 2011) part of the Getty’s Pacific Standard Time exhibition series. In addition to serving as Managing Partner of Fionn Zarubica & Associates, Director of the Fionn Zarubica Foundation For Art And Culture in Serbia and Director of Fionn Zarubica Learn, Fionn is directing the Collections Management Certification Program in Serbia and is an instructor at the Costume and Textiles Collections Management Certificate Program at California State University Long Beach, The College of Continuing and Professional Education.

Bishop Georgije (Djokić)

(1984–2015)

Bishop Georgije, baptized Djordje Djokić, was born on May 6, 1949 in the village of Crnjelovo, Bjeljina, of parents Krsto and Krunija. After elementary school he resided in the monasteries Tavna, Ozren and Kosijerevo. He completed monastic school in the Monastery of Transfiguration 1963/1964. From Savina Monastery he went to the Studenica Monastery and remained until 1966 when he went to School at the Ostrog Monastery. After finishing Monastic School he was tonsured into monastic rank at the Monastery Ozren on February 11, 1971 and was given the monastic name Georgije. He was ordained hierodeacon on February 15, 1971. In June 1971, he was appointed spiritual father of Tavna Monastery by Bishop Longin. From there he graduated from the Seminary in Sremski Karlovci and the Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Belgrade. While in England, Fr. Georgije was appointed by Bishop Lavrentije to serve the parish of Sts. Peter and Paul in Derby, England. While there he was elected Bishop for the Canadian Diocese, on May 16, 1984. On June 8, 1984, he was consecrated a bishop by Patriarch German and installed in 1984 at the St. Nicholas Cathedral in Hamilton.

Христос – Нова Пасха – Божанствена Литургија

Период двадесетог века представљао је врло комплексно раздобље везано за развој литургијско-богословске мисли у нашој помесној Цркви. Осећајући насушну еклисијалну и пастирску потребу да поменуту мисао надгради и истовремено је учини приступачнијом народу Божијем, епископ Атанасије Јевтић се одлучио да понуди тротомно дело под насловом: Христос – Нова Пасха – Божанствена Литургија. Иако се објављивање трећег тома тек очекује, сматрамо да богословској и читалачкој пажњи треба представити два тома који су већ изашли.

Сложени назив овог епохалног издања, које може бити препознато као „српска литургијска стромата двадесет и првог века“, аутор је начинио на основу одељка из Прве Посланице Коринћанима светог апостола Павла: Јер се Пасха наша Христос жртвова за нас (1Кор 5, 7). Дело се састоји из два тома и намењено је, према речима епископа Атанасија, „богобојажљивим и христочежњивим љубитељима Божанских Тајни, усрдним учесницима Свете Литургије и причесницима Богочовечанских Светиња“. Наиме, у њему су сабрани текстови о Светој и Божанственој Евхаристији од најранијих времена Цркве Христове (првог века) све до савременог доба, а сâм циљ јесте „раскривање литургијских, еклисиолошких, космичких и есхатолошких димензија Светајне Христа и Његове Цркве“. Највећи део сабраних литургијско-светоотачких текстова се по први пут појављује на српском језику, благодарећи преводилачком и прегалачком труду епископа Атанасија. Уз то, веома су драгоцени његови оригинални коментари. Треба истаћи да су оба тома штампана са тврдим корицама у штампарији Интерклима Графика у Врњачкој Бањи.
