Miki Knezevic

Miki Knezevic is a writer and lives in Madison, WI. She is a professional author who writes both fiction and non-fiction: articles, short stories, textbooks, a novel. She recently published her first novel, Behind God's Back, which is now available on Amazon.com.

Combining studies in English, teaching and writing, she joined a college colleague, Brenda Wegmann, to write textbooks in English as a Second Language (ESL). They have been writing ESL textbooks for over 25 years for Random House and McGraw-Hill. Their series, Interactions/Mosaic, has been successful and sells worldwide. Miki and Brenda do the reading books in the Mosaic series. She also has taken courses in Journalism and fiction writing. Miki Knezevic has written articles for Parade magazine, The Wisconsin State Journal, Madison Magazine and Serb World.

Recently she has finished a historical novel called Behind God's Back. The story takes place in Europe between 1912 and 1962. A strong female character, Desa Jovanovic, medical doctor, faces World War I, World War II and the Communist era. Fighting for the lives of her patients and her family takes patience and courage; Desa's life and the lives of those she loves are in danger of extinction many times in during these difficult years. How Desa, her family, and friends survive these terrible historical occurrences, or don't, make for exciting and emotional reading.

Milos Rastovic

Milos Rastovic was born in Sombor, Serbia where he finished elementary and Gymnasium. His father, Ilija Rastovic, was a Professor in Gymnasium high school and poet who published eight books of poetry. Zivka Rastovic, his mother, worked in the insurance business. Rastovic earned a Bachelor Degree at the University of Belgrade, Department of Philosophy, with a work: “Eternal Recurrence of the Same in Nietzsche’s Philosophy.” After graduation, he was a Professor of Philosophy for eight years in high schools in Sombor. While teaching, he created thefirst philosophy website of its kind in Serbia to make philosophy more interesting and approachable for students. He earned his Masters Degree in Philosophy at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, U.S.A. He is a member of many professional societies in philosophy and political sciences and Slavic studies. He has presented papers at numerousacademic conferences and publishedarticles and reviews of books in the United States, Canada, and many European countries.

An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons

Residents of Heaven is a book of Icons by Father Stamatis Skliris which were prepared for "An Exhibit of Byzantine and Modern Orthodox Icons" held at the "David Allan Hubbard Library, Fuller Theological Seminary" in Pasadena, California, June 10 - July 5, 2010.

The iconographer, V. Rev. Stamatis Skliris, attended the opening of the exhibit with His Grace, Bishop Maxim who gave the Introduction. The mounting of the display was done by Jasminka Gabrie and the staff of the Fuller Library. The opening event was organized by Dr. William Dyrness, Director of the Visual Faith Institute, Brehm Center for Worship, Theology and the Arts, Fuller Seminary.
